It really does live up to the "Smart" sync name because it allows to easily set filters and setting on how you want data to be transferred back and forth and the ability to exclude certain folders, or if you just want to back up fron "left to right" (or reverse) etc. But the free trial lived up to my expectations and the upgrade exceeded. Some of the reviews I read (dating 3-5 yrs) back were negative and almost made me not want to downloaad.
I transferred/synced 150GB of files without a hitch. The upgrade is totally worthwhile as it lets you expand subfolders to see what files are unsynced.
I downloaded this in 2021 on Big Sur OS and tried out the free version which worked like a charm. Files are not syncing according to custom settings:( I am afraid I am going to have to ditch this one. For some reason the syncing is not working properly in my Pro version.
